Music For Shopping

The music comes in many different styles - Bossa Nova, Swing, Instrumental pop, etc. And there seems to be equally as many different names for it - elevator music, jet set, space age lounge, cheesy listening.....well, you get the picture! But no matter what you call it, it's always fun to hear. So hop in the ol' Desoto and take a nostalgic trip with this compilation of library/light music from the 1950's, 60's & early 70's. ***TRACK LISTINGS*** DOWNLOAD LINK

Grrrr! That Super Valu Chain is the one that just this past year made the corporate decision to close, with little notice or fanfare, all the stores in its Suflower Markets chain!
That chain offered any number of REAL organically grown and raised foods, and also featured fresh vegetables grown by LOCAL farmers. I can't even calculate what the loss of that chain might have meant financially to local growers.
Burn down, Super Valu, with your fleet of same-looking, powder-blue, 1957-58 cars!

Hell, they don't even make Budweiser in the USA anymore. This whole country should have a giant "For Sale" sign on it, because that's basically what's happening. So tell me something I don't already know. ;) At least we've got memories.

That isn't completely accurate. There are Bud plants all over North America, including one not terribly far from here (where I'm taking the day off because I threw my back out).
But as you know, the company was sold to Belgians... and you can tell because as soon as the sale was announced, a whole new slew of TV commercials began appearing on cable news programs, the thrust of which was, what a wonderful company Anheuser-Busch is, with such a deightful and huggable history.
Standard greenwashing, PR modus operandi, and absolut(e) bullshit.

Boy a lot off off topic comments, huh. How about discussion of what is important here, the thing on the offering, the MUSIC?

Anyhow, the last date for these seem to be veyr early 70s. Cheese Shop is on Sonoton and is I'D as 70s-80s but as Some older 1960s carotons seem to use some of these I wonder how accurate that is, or maybe cartoons from the mid 60s had redone tracks. I've wondered, as a Gumby and Pokey fan, thus my username, if the later, 1967-68 ones didn't have mujsic from some of these folks [1960s TV cartoon series had a wide variety of composers and libaries, as already mentioned.]
